Time Warp Discovery Chan 7 2008
TV. Thirteen hours of extreme bubble making in treacherous conditions left me wrung out. Worth it? You bet! As a bubbler this opportunity was as exciting as anything I could imagine. Groundbreaking. TIME WARP is a new series produced for the Discovery Channel by PromaTwo Productions, ON.

The show is all about using visual technologies [specifically high speed videography, time lapse, etc] to learn things about the world around us that we normally wouldn't be able to appreciate.” We shot in 10k+fps... that is ten thousand+ crystal clear pictures a second! We recorded and dissected (the host is a young, hip expert from MIT) the most extraordinary and bizarre bubble behaviors.

High speed shooting requires intensely bright lighting, which is blazing hot. My props were at times steaming. The HVAC system was going full-bore which meant a lot of moving air... difficult conditions. The results were beyond my imagining. It was a gift to be selected as the bubble wrangler for this project. Once it gets boiled down to five minutes or so and the show airs, I’ll try to have the footage for you.

And now I can finally share some of my footage from this day. Just in case you were wondering...

Thanks to the Time Warp production team for promoting the interesting science of Bubbleology!
